Dear Friends and Supporters of Brick Gothic
At the beginning of 2021, we are starting a new challenging but also exciting year.
Working group on monument preservation / science issues
On February 24th, 2021 from 5 p.m., our working group on monument preservation / science issues will meet for an online session via Zoom. The topics include further steps towards a Brick Forum, the latest research results on St. George’s Chapel in Eberswalde and – to take a comparative look at other European countries – an inner brick wall from the 14th century in Italy. If you are interested in attending this meeting, please let me know and I will send you the access data for the meeting (only for members).
Day of Brick Gothic 2021
We have started planning this year’s Day of Brick Gothic on June 19th, 2021. In addition to the flyer and poster templates, there will be a template specifically for images in social networks such as Instagram and Facebook. This enables us to promote the Day of Brick Gothic as a joint event, especially in the digital sector. The aim of this day is to draw attention to the cultural heritage of Brick Gothic and to convey our cultural heritage with combined efforts to a broad public.
The templates in all three language versions will be sent out soon.
Working group on marketing issues
This year I would like to focus more on our visibility as a community and the evaluation of our work. This applies to the continuous work on our website and our visibility in the social networks, as well as the information on the buildings and our publications. There will be another (online) meeting of our marketing working group in spring. The appointment will be announced in time. Participation for members only.
Instagram
Right now, we have 2,228 subscribers on Instagram with an average of 500 likes per feed. We are reaching over 80% more people than we did a year ago. You will receive a more detailed evaluation at the next general meeting at the latest. Take a look at Instagram, a first impression even works without an own account: www.instagram.com/brick_gothic
With best regards and wishes for 2021
