The parish church of the first market settlement, St. Nicholas’ Church (“St. Nikolai”), was built in the middle of the 13th century as a fieldstone structure with lateral extensions and a west tower as well as brick gables with blind arcatures. At the beginning of the 16th century it was converted into a three-aisled hall church.
