St. Spiritus was built in the 14th and 15th century. A hot-air heating system of the 13th century from a preceding building still exists in parts. Also known as the “Black Hospital”, the building was severely damaged in the Second World War. Beginning in 1952, it was rebuilt and has since then been run as a Protestant nursing home.
